About Our Culture

At the Council for Abavandimwe (CFA), our culture is deeply rooted in Obuntu Bulamu — the spirit of humanity, brotherhood, and togetherness that defines who we are as Africans.

We believe that every person is our brother or sister (Omuvandimwe), deserving of respect, love, and equal opportunity. Our name itself, “Abavandimwe,” reflects this belief — that unity and compassion are the true strength of a community.

CFA embraces Uganda’s rich cultural diversity and works to promote peace, cooperation, and shared progress among all people. We value honesty, hard work, humility, and service — virtues that have guided our ancestors and continue to inspire our mission today.

In everything we do, we aim to build bridges, not walls — encouraging mutual understanding, cultural respect, and a deep sense of belonging for every Ugandan.

✨ Together, in the spirit of Obuntu Bulamu, we build a stronger and more united nation.
